The Trustees of Trust Funds have custody of municipal trust funds and capital reserve funds established by Town Meeting vote, including those of the school district.
Governed under RSA 31, the Trustees of Trust Funds have the duty to administer, invest, expend and account for the various trust and reserve funds of the Town. The Trustees have requirements to make various reports to the Attorney General’s Office, the NH Department of Revenue Administration and to the Town itself, in addition to having their financial records available for audit annually by the Town’s auditors.
In terms of expenditures, the Trustees of Trust Fund pay out trust funds or reserve funds upon the direction of the designated agents to expend funds for the purpose of each specific fund.
